Every component of our garments is Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex certified - which means they don't contain any harmful substances for human health, including allergens or carcinogens.

BAMBOO

Robust and rapid-growing, bamboo’ is one of the most hygienic, stain and odour-resistant materials available.

Bamboo plantations are fast growing and self-generating without the need for pesticides, insecticides or fertilisers. They also require little water. To improve sustainability, the factory processing our bamboo fabric reprocesses wastewater before release, uses a waste air recovery system and an Alkali recovery system.

Why we choose to use bamboo

Bamboo fabric is natural, hygienic, absorbent, breathable, and luxuriously soft. It resists odour, wicks moisture from the body and is fast drying to keep you warm in winter, cool in summer and more comfortable than in any polyester fabrics.

MERINO WOOL

Merino wool is a natural, renewable, biodegradable fibre. Our wool is 95% Australian farmed merino, and we only work with certified farmers to ensure our fibres come from happy, healthy non-mulesing sheep.

Most of our merino wool comes from Coonong Station, near Wagga Wagga in NSW Australia, and Glenwood Merinos, in Wellington, NZ.

Many Australian farmers practice regenerative farming to support soil health, biodiversity and lock carbon back into the soil. Our farmers meet the Responsible Wool Standard and follow the Australian Animal Welfare Standards and Guidelines.

Harvesting wool is sustainable (human labour which doesn’t damage the environment), and, as a natural fibre, the wool manufacturing process (cleaning, combing, spinning, knitting, dyeing, sewing) doesn’t require the same harsh chemicals as synthetic fibres.

Why we choose to use wool

Our merino wool (used in our absorbent linings) is naturally anti-bacterial, biodegradable, renewable, soft and breathable. Merino wool absorbs up to 3 times its own weight in moisture, helping keep you dry and odour-free – and reducing the need for frequent washing.

ORGANIC COTTON

Organic cotton is grown without the use of harmful toxins, helping the soil retain its natural nutrients, and protecting farmers, factory workers and eco-systems from chemical exposure.

Not-for-profit, Textile Exchange, states organic cotton is ‘46% less harmful to global warming, provides 70% less acidification of land and water, reduces the potential for soil erosion by 26%, reduces surface and groundwater use by 91% and may reduce energy demand by as much as 62%’. Conventional cotton uses as much as 16% of global insecticides and 7% of pesticides.

Why we choose to use organic cotton

Our organic cotton is natural, soft, breathable, hypo-allergenic, long-lasting and chemical-free, making it the ideal choice for underwear products which sit close to the skin.

RECYCLED NYLON

Our recycled nylon is soft, smooth, breathable and comfortable, with the same high-performance qualities as conventional nylon.

Why we choose to use recycled nylon

We’re making a conscious choice to use more sustainable fabrics wherever possible, and by choosing recycled nylon we’re reducing the amount of textiles waste going to landfill and eliminating the need to manufacture virgin nylon, which in turn reduces energy use and carbon emissions.
